Absolutely. At Lotta’s, we take the utmost care with your laundry. When you place an order, our Laundry Pros handle all the details, including the crucial step of sorting your clothes. We meticulously separate lights from darks to prevent any color bleeding or damage, ensuring that each piece is returned to you just how it came to us (clean of course).

Your peace of mind is our priority. While items are extremely rare to get lost or damaged. In the unlikely event something does happen, we’ve got you covered and will reimburse you up to the amount of your order total. Each laundry load is carefully tagged and kept separate to prevent any mix-ups.

Absolutely! At Lotta’s, we understand that everyone has unique laundry needs. We provide top-quality detergents and bleach alternatives to ensure your laundry is cleaned effectively and safely. We use eco-friendly detergents that are tough on stains but gentle on your clothes and the environment. If you prefer, you can even use your own detergent.

Additionally, we offer customizable washing preferences to ensure your clothes are cared for just how you like. Whether you have specific instructions for water temperature, dryer heat, or fabric care, simply let us know when you place your order under 'special instructions'

Water Temperature
By default, we launder clothes in cold water, as recommended by laundry experts. However, if you want us to launder in hot water, simply request it in 'special instructions,' and we’ll accommodate you.

Dry Temperature
By default, we dry on low-medium heat; never high heat.  However, if you want us to dry at a different temperature, simply request it in 'special instructions' and we’ll accommodate you.

Fabric Softener
Fabric softener is not recommended because it damages fabrics and shortens the life of clothes; therefore, Lotta's does not inventory or use fabric softener. However, if you want fabric softener, simply request it in 'special instructions' and provide the fabric softener you want, and it’ll be done for you. There is no extra fee for this.

We focus on providing the best possible care for your laundry using our professional-grade washers and dryers. While we do not currently offer hang-drying services, our drying process is designed to be gentle on your clothes. We handle each item with care to ensure they come out perfectly dried and ready to wear. If you have specific drying preferences, let us know, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs within our drying capabilities

This service is included as we always do our best to improve the appearance of your garments. We treat stains using professional techniques and eco-friendly products to the best of our ability. However, please note that while we strive to remove stains effectively, we cannot guarantee the complete removal of all stains due to the varying nature and age of stains.

When it comes to mold, we will do our best to treat it using specialized products, but mold can be particularly difficult to remove depending on the fabric and how long it has been present. While we can improve the condition of the garment, we cannot promise full removal of mold. If you have any specific concerns, feel free to reach out to us for a consultation before we begin.

Of course! We try our best to pack laundry by family member and item type so it's easy for you to put your laundry away.

Yes. We handle larger items such as comforters, blankets, and other bulky pieces with care. All available options and pricing for washing larger items can be easily found above this FAQ section, or under **see pricing** when you schedule your pickup.

Here are some quick guidelines based on family size:

If you’re unsure, a standard laundry basket usually holds about 10-15 pounds. When you schedule your pickup, you’ll be charged a preauthorization amount until your laundry is checked in and weighed, ensuring you only pay for the actual weight of your laundry.

If you need to reschedule an order—whether it’s a one-time pickup or a recurring order—it’s easy! Just log in to your account through our website or app, select the order you’d like to reschedule, and choose a new pickup date and time. We recommend doing this at least 24 hours in advance, but if something comes up last minute, feel free to text or call us, and we’ll do our best to accommodate. For recurring orders, you can update the next pickup without affecting future ones, and don’t worry—your 15% discount still applies! We’ll also send you a reminder before each scheduled pickup, so if you forget, you can still make changes.

When you place an order, your credit/debit card is pre-authorized. This means a temporary hold is placed on a specific amount, which varies based on factors like your order history and the estimated size of your order. This preauthorization ensures that the necessary funds are available but does not charge you immediately. Once your laundry is weighed, processed and completed—your credit/debit card is charged for the actual cost of the service, and the preauthorized amount is released. If you cancel your order, the hold is released as well. While Lotta’s releases the hold immediately, your bank or card issuer determines when the funds become available again. If you find the preauthorization hold inconvenient, we recommend using a credit card instead of a debit card, as credit cards hold the amount from your credit line rather than affecting your available balance immediately

Lotta's minimum order charge depends on the service type selected. For our standard wash & fold service, our minimum service order amount is $35.

You can put your laundry out for pickup in any bag you prefer, whether it’s disposable bags or your laundry hamper. Most people opt for disposable bags for convenience. If you use your hamper, we'll transfer your clothes to our reusable bags and leave your hamper behind. For our environmentally conscious customers, we offer the choice of purchasing our reusable, weatherproof, and recyclable laundry bags and opt out of plastic use (also included in our subscription packages). These reusable bags are returned to you cleaned and sanitized and ready for reuse, helping to reduce waste and support eco-friendly practices.

How It Works:

Opt-In: When you sign up for Lotta’s Laundry Service, choose to use our reusable laundry bags instead of traditional plastic bags.
‍Pickup: Fill your reusable bag with dirty laundry and have it ready for our driver to pick up.
‍Clean and Return: We’ll wash your laundry, including the bag itself, and return everything to you, freshly cleaned and neatly packaged.

Lotta's laundry service includes free pick-up and delivery (currently Monday-Saturday). Just tell us where and we come to you.

For Lotta’s Standard (2-day) laundry service, there is no maximum amount of laundry we can handle for you. However, if your load exceeds 100 pounds, we may need additional time to complete the work. For Lotta’s Next-Day Service, the weight limit is 60 pounds to ensure we can provide the quickest turnaround without compromising quality. If you have any concerns or special requests regarding the size of your order, feel free to contact us, and we'll be happy to accommodate your needs.
